Choosing to become a teacher was a decision fueled by my desire to honor my mother's legacy, to give back to the community that shaped me, and to be the mentor and advocate that I once needed. It is my belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn from someone who understands their struggles, believes in their potential, and is committed to guiding them toward a brighter future.

My passion for teaching is also fueled by my commitment to community involvement. I've developed a special project to engage my students in community service initiatives. This project helps students recognize their role in making a positive impact on the world around them. Our students are becoming better citizens and leaders with this project. The results have been very empowering.

With a $25,000 award, I'd launch a dynamic Career Exploration Program at our Middle School. Partnering with local professionals and businesses, we would host career fairs, field trips, and hands-on workshops. Students would gain insights into diverse fields, develop essential skills, and build a foundation for their futures. By fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence, we'd inspire each student to explore new possibilities and discover their passion. An opportunity could transform lives!
