Learn MoreMy fourth grade teacher gave me a bunch of old teacher edition science textbooks and workbooks. I would make copies of the pages and pretend to teach science at home. In high school I loved science so I decided I wanted to pursue something in the science field. Therefore, I went on to college and received a degree in Biological sciences. After graduation, I ended up teaching Kindergarten at a private school and I fell in love with teaching! I am now a high school Biology teacher!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI had a student who told me on the first day of school that they didn’t love science(my favorite kind of student). Throughout that year I provided a variation of instructional material from labs to games to plain old notes. That same student came back to me senior year and asked for a recommendation letter for college where she would study Biology. That student is now getting her Doctorate degree!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off the remainder of my student loans and have a small vacation with my husband and children and throw a party for my students!
