I became a teacher to give back to my community the same way my teachers gave to me. All of my most positive relationships with adults when I was at my most impressionable were with a teacher. I heard a quote one time that says "every child is one positive relationship with an adult away from a success story." I want all of my students to be a success story.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience came from a student who reminded me a lot of myself. I saw anger, hurt, but most importantly I saw a ton of potential and intelligence. One day after class, I had the opportunity to talk with this student and provide some mentoring.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off my car, allowing me to provide more funds to my classroom, and help enrich my curriculum.
