I became a teacher to share my passion for education and knowledge with the next generation of doctors, lawyers, dentists, and so many other professionals. Beyond that, I wanted my students to feel that I genuinely care about them and their futures. When I was a student in elementary school, I noticed that everyone comes from different backgrounds, and as a teacher, I’ve seen this even more clearly. I want my students to know that someone cares about them and that they matter in this world.

My most memorable teaching experiences are when I come to school after a lesson whether it was the day before or even a week ago and my students are eager to share how they connected it to their real lives. Seeing their excitement and realizing that what they learned stuck with them, that’s an incredible feeling.

First and foremost, I would thank God for this incredible blessing. I would love to treat my family to a well-deserved trip as a way to show my appreciation for all their support throughout the year- whether it’s helping me prepare for Meet The Teacher, Open House, or fun activities at school. Additionally, I would invest in educational programs and resources that my campus currently doesn’t have, ensuring that my students and myself have the tools they need for success in the classroom.
