I became a teacher because my life is only what it is because of amazing teachers in my life. I wanted to support students the way I have been supported.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching moment was when a 60 year old women approached me at the end of day one to tell me that I made her feel so comfortable that she no longer considered dropping out, and that after 35 years of putting her education on hold- she was ready.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would put it down for a home. Generationally, I don't have wealth. My daughter wants nothing more than a home she can invite friends to. We currently live in a small apartment where this is not possible. $25,000 would give us what we need to buy a home.
