Tell us why you became a teacher

I went into education to help young people see how the power of learning and knowledge of the world opens the doors to so many amazing things! Experiencing firsthand how a caring and dedicated teacher can make such a difference in a student's life inspired me to pursue a career in education. I strive to create that same supportive and nurturing environment for my students, helping them discover their own potential and the limitless opportunities that come with knowledge and learning.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable experience thus far in this field came from a student who graduated 2 years ago. I had worked with him in elementary school and he invited me to his graduation because he wanted to say thanks for believing in him when he didn’t think anyone cared. He was such a hard worker and it payed off.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were to win $25,000, I would love to pay off some student loan debt as well as buy new book sets/series for my avid readers.
