I love teaching because it allows me to make a real difference in my students’ lives.

I became a teacher because, as a student I struggled in school. That fueled my passion for ensuring every student feels valued, supported, and capable. I love the moment when a student grasps a concept they once found difficult—it’s pure magic. Teaching isn’t just about academics; it’s about building confidence, fostering curiosity, and creating a safe space where students believe in themselves. Watching my students grow, not just in knowledge but in self-belief, is incredibly rewarding.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching moments involved a student who had been labeled as the “difficult” kid. From the first day, teachers warned me about his behavior—disruptive, unmotivated, and disrespectful. However I made an effort to understand him. With encouragement and structure, he began to engage more, and by the end of the year, he found his potential. Every child is more than their reputation, and sometimes, all they need is someone to believe in them.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I had $25,000, I would use it to enhance my students’ learning experience and create a more supportive, engaging classroom environment. First, I would invest in high-quality learning materials, such as books, hands-on resources, and technology, to make lessons more interactive and accessible for all students. Many children struggle due to a lack of resources, and having the right tools can make a significant difference in their confidence and academic success.
