I became a teacher to be a positive force in the lives of young people, providing the guidance and support they need to succeed in today's society. Educators play a crucial role in shaping future careers and contributing to the progress of our communities. It is my mission to inspire, empower, and leave a lasting impression on each of my students, helping them reach their full potential.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable experiences as an educator was at Job Corps, where I helped a dedicated single mother earn her G.E.D. She was determined to create a better future for herself and her daughter. When she achieved her goal, she ran up to me with a heartfelt hug, filling me with an immense sense of pride and accomplishment. It was one of the most rewarding moments of my career.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If awarded $25,000, I would invest in classroom resources, educational field trips, and student scholarships to enhance learning. Additionally, I would pursue professional development opportunities and implement innovative teaching strategies. Lastly, I would support mentorship programs and parent-student engagement initiatives to strengthen the school community. This investment would create a lasting impact on education.
