Learn MoreI became a teacher after my first husband left me and made me a single mother with 4 kids. I always dreamed of being a teacher when I was young. I knew I needed a job in which I could support myself and my children, so I went to college and made my dream come true. It has been challenging at times. However watching my students grow, succeed, and graduate makes it worth all the challenges. I am glad I followed this dream.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have had many memorable experiences in my 24 years of teaching. One that stands out the most is a co-teaching class I taught with a young teacher. It was after CoVid and we were given a group of very low readers. We used different techniques proven to boast skills. We formed a relationship with those students. At the end of the year that group showed more group than any other group I had worked with. We both bought things for that class out of our own money, but the results were worth it
What would you do with the $25,000?I hope to retire in 3 years. I am trying to get out of debt before that. I really need a more reliable car. Mine has over 180,000 miles. So, I would probably buy myself a newer and more reliable vehicle.
