I love passing on the love of music to my students. At age 11 I decided to become a music teacher and to do exactly just that…….love music.

Learn MoreI became a music teacher because I had so much love for music that I wanted to spread that love around. I come from a long line of musicians and I actually knew what I wanted to become at a young age. Many children dream of what they want to be when they grow up and I just happened to be one of the very blessed ones that was able to accomplish my dream.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have been an educator for 31 years now and I have had many memorable teaching moments. I can honestly say that every day is a memorable experience because everyday is different. Sometimes a teaching moment is not one that involves one of the core subjects being taught to a student….it may involve taking the time to listen to what a child may be going through and being that small light at the end of a tunnel. That is sometimes one of the best moments a teacher may get to experience.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would most likely use that money towards doing away of some debt to hopefully one day getting closer to retirement. Teaching is really a matter of the love you feel for all those tiny people that will someday become our future society and not really a matter of income. I know many colleagues will agree.
