Teaching is a privilege because 1 good teacher can change hundreds of students lives. I became a teacher because I wanted to influence my students with the material that was taught in my classroom. I hoped that my teaching would help my students understand why they were taught the material and how it would be useful in the future.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

As a high school educator, I have many memorable experiences, both good and bad. As someone who has been an educator for 5 years, I've had the pleasure of teaching and coaching students since they were freshmen and seeing them walk across the stage as graduating seniors. The last graduating class of 2024 was one of my most memorable moments because I saw students who were young teenagers become young adults. It is truly a pleasure to teach and be able to influence my students.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use it to pay off my student loans and save the rest for future purposes.
