My goal in life has always been to change the world; I was constantly volunteering or helping those in need, and I knew that when it came time for a job, I wanted one where I could use my hands and brain to actively benefit the world and community.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceSeeing my students grow and become a light for the world, learning to accept one another, and realizing that we are all different but also the same is something I witness every day. It is all worthwhile when I see them pick up on positive affirmations and actions. When I was anxious about an activity, I think one of my students noticed. He approached me, put his hands on me, and said, "Ms. Apple, it is okay because teamwork makes the dream work." That is one of my favorite moments.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won $25,000, I would donate the majority of it to help the homeless, and the rest to my students' families who are struggling financially to live a normal stable lifestyle.
