I started teaching at 11 in my church, loving working with kids ages 3-7. After high school, I had to choose my path & didn’t initially pick teaching, but I realized it was both my passion & talent. Always digitally inclined, I found my stride during COVID, helping educators adapt to big changes. Now, I’m pursuing a master’s to empower teachers in creating digitally successful classrooms, blending my love for education & technology to make a lasting impact.

One of my most memorable moments came from my classroom points system, where students earn & lose points based on behavior, work, & helpfulness. One day, a student asked to make an announcement but kept details secret, agreeing to a referral if needed. He then offered to tutor anyone struggling, without accusations or pressure, just goodwill. He set times before & after school, showing true leadership & kindness—a moment that defined the power of education.

I’d split the money into four areas: scholarships for students showing initiative in Career & Tech Ed but needing help for certifications, upgrading technology to strengthen my school program, paying off my student loans, & stocking a needs closet with toiletries & essentials for disadvantaged students. This ensures support for both student success & well-being while also allowing me to continue growing as an educator dedicated to digital learning & accessibility.
