I love being the person my students come back and visit for years to come. I love creating a space that students look forward to coming to.

I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference in my students lives just as my teachers did for me. I wanted to be the person who made kids fall in love with school and learning. I wanted to be the one who created those light bulb moments with my students. I just loving helping my students grow and reach their full potential.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI’ve been teaching for 9 years so there are many to choose from. I would say the most memorable teaching experience was in year 8. I turned the classroom into an “operating room”. We then had a contraction surgery day. My students dressed up as doctors and used bandaids to put together contractions. From that day on, they were understanding and making contractions on their own.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use part of the money to pay bills and the rest to go on a vacation. It is my goal to visit all 7 continents and I’ve already been to 3. I’d use the money to plan a trip to either Africa or Asia.
