I wanted to be a teacher to help students not just with their academic needs but their emotional needs as well. I wanted to give back to my community. I was inspired by multiple people in my life and I want to be that for a child in theirs.

My most memorable experience would be this year. This is my 1st year fully leading the classroom and it hasn’t been an easy experience for myself due to personal experience outside of work. My most memorable experience would be watching my students grow in not just the classroom but in their emotional development as well. Watching my students who have tried so hard this year to learn to read and want to do well has been amazing. Watching my students faces when they succeed I will never forget.

What I would with the 25,000 is help my school community by helping provide school supplies for the classrooms. I would also use the resources to help create and loving and safe environment that shows they nature of my classroom and our community’s mission.
