My desire to become an educator was to make a positive impact on the lives of my students. It’s so imperative for students to have a vital role model and for teachers to create relational capabilities with parents and students to help them reach their highest potential academically.

My most memorable teaching experience was in 2019. I was pregnant and I went on maternity leave. I kept in touch with my students through our canvas course to continue helping them. My AP Spanish class required much preparation for their end of course exam and l was very determined to help them through it. I was recognized at my school for having the highest passing rate. My students wrote letters and emails, thanking me for all my effort. This validated that teaching is what I was meant to do.

There is so much that could be done with $25,000. As many teachers might say the money would be good for paying off some debt, but I would also like to make donations to some very important charities that I know would need help.
