I became a teacher because I’ve always enjoyed being around children. I love the way they look at life with such innocence, hope, and optimism. As adults, we often lose our “magic”. We get all caught up in the day to day hustle and bustle of life, but being a teacher helps keep it alive because we get to see the “magic” everyday through the eyes of our students. I love being able to teach my students new and challenging concepts, and I’m just as excited to learn as much as I can from them.

One of my most memorable teaching experiences has to be anytime I see one of my former students succeed in life. My first babies have now graduated high school, and to see them growing up into kind, loving, and successful adults is a feeling that is impossible to explain. Every single student I taught holds a piece of my heart. I love getting messsges from my former students about all of their amazing accomplishments, whether it be getting a full scholarship to college or becoming parents.

Whew! That’s a lot of money! First, I’d have a HUGE pizza party for my students, because without them I definitely would not be anywhere. Then, I’d purchase furniture for my classroom. I really want to implement a more cozy atmosphere in my classroom, so I’d like to have different types of tables and chairs for the students. I’d also love a couch or two! I would love to be able to further my education, so I’d sign up for classes that would help me be a better teacher.
