I became a teacher because I have a passion for helping others learn and grow. I find fulfillment in creating an environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and challenged. I believe in the power of education to shape lives and provide opportunities for success. Seeing students develop their skills, confidence, and critical thinking abilities motivates me to keep learning and improving as an educator. It's a rewarding journey of making a difference in people's lives.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching moment during my first year directing "The Addams Family" was watching my students, many of whom were new to drama, step into their roles with confidence. The moment they delivered their first full run-through, completely in character, was a powerful reminder of the impact of mentorship. Seeing their hard work pay off in the final performance, knowing I guided them through the process, was incredibly fulfilling and reinforced my passion for teaching and directing.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000 as a middle school teacher and drama program director, I’d invest in new costumes, props, and stage equipment to enhance performances. I’d also bring in professional workshops to teach students about acting and production. Part of the funds would be used for scholarships, ensuring all students can participate regardless of financial background. Lastly, I’d support classroom resources and activities that inspire creativity across subjects, enriching the learning experience.
