Tell us why you became a teacher

I embarked on my teaching journey driven by an unrelenting passion to empower, inspire, and motivate the minds of tomorrow. My path began in the realm of arts education, where I had the profound privilege of helping children with special needs unlock their full potential through creative expression. As I continued on this journey, I discovered the transformative power of bilingual education, where teaching English as a second language became the key to opening the doors of the world to them.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of the most transformative experiences of my life has been the privilege of being part of a remarkable student with cerebral palsy, He has not only taught me invaluable lessons but has also enriched my life with his vibrant culture. Our paths crossed under serendipitous circumstances, with both of us seeking a meaningful connection. Today, at just 17 years old, Ryan’s determination and resilience have led him to become proficient in both Spanish and English.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’m excited to launch an online language academy dedicated to providing personalized education to anyone pursuing their dreams and seeking better opportunities through language skills. Our goal is to empower individuals, by offering accessible education and job opportunities specially to teacher from Latinoamérica. With your support, we can solidify our project and continue making a meaningful impact in the lives of our students with special needs or challenging circumstances.
