The most rewarding part is seeing my students succeed, hearing “I did it on my own” with pride, no matter how big or small the achievement.

Learn MoreI've always enjoyed being with kids, often babysitting, including a sweet girl with Down syndrome who taught me more than she'll ever realize. In college, I decided to major in Special Education, a decision I’ve never regretted. I wanted to work with individuals with special needs and their families, helping them reach their full potential and supporting them through a journey that isn’t always easy.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceEvery day and every adventure brings a new memorable moment. It is impossible to pick just one. Some of my favorites include: -A student shaking the hand of the school mascot after overcoming a fear of any mascot. -A student writing his name on his own for the 1st time. -A student using a communication device independently to tell his parents he loved them for the 1st time. -Being a part of Unified teams in which students who have normally been excluded, are included and part of a team.
What would you do with the $25,000?The money would go towards my sons' college accounts, helping them start their future with minimal loans while achieving their professional goals.
