Anavic Francisco Lahoz

I love teaching because I love children in general. I wish I had a teacher like me when I was younger, I thank my parents and my family.

Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I had said before I wish I would have had someone like myself to look up to when I was young. A lot of students need guidance and support throughout their elementary and high school years also in both personal and academic life.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My experience has been great I’ve been in many different places and many different age groups. My favorite which I currently teach right now is Preschool. The most memorable experience that I could remember is a child remember and recognizing the letters of his or her name, every time during the school year that I see that a child achieves this goal, I get super excited and I feel like the students are actually getting what I’m teaching them and it’s sticking in their brains!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would first pay off all my debt that I owe of college and currently trying to achieve my Masters degree and the next thing I would do is help my parents with some of the money since they’ve help me a lot in everything I do, and the rest I would spend it on my baby that is coming soon in October, which my husband and I are super excited to be first time parents!
