Welding school changed my life. It gave me an opportunity to support myself and find something I was actually good at. I wanted to be a mentor young women entering the welding world and help/encourage them along their journey as well.

I had a student who was struggling in all areas of his life. He stopped coming to class and I kept reaching out to him to encourage him to come back. He finally did and I helped him apply at a welding job and prepped him for a weld test. He got the job. He came back to see me a couple months later and told me I saved his life. That I was the first person to believe in him and getting that job changed everything for him. It truly made me realize that I was doing what I was meant to do.

I would take my family on vacation, pay off debt and donate a some money to a future welding student for a scholarship.
