Tell us why you became a teacher

This next generation of leaders are facing major challenges, and as teachers we have the responsibility and privilege to prepare them for the future, as well as modeling what it looks like to face these challenges head on. I became a teacher because I believe in passing on knowledge and wisdom to our next leaders and getting them ready for the world.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable moment is having mg my students take the 8 Intelligences quiz, which indicates what your top intelligences are (kinesthetic, visual, logic, music, language, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalist) and seeing how it changed their perception of themselves; even if they struggle with certain subjects, they all have strengths that are unique to them!

What would you do with the $25,000?

My husband and I are both teachers and are also expecting our first child this fall; we would use the money to get through the (unpaid) summer break and prepare our home for our growing family. We’d also love to take a babymoon vacation this summer!
