I became a teacher so that I could help children reach their full potential, both academically and socially/ emotionally. Not many adults realize or remember how hard and confusing it is to be a kid. I hope to help guide students through this challenge time all while helping them grow through engaging academics. I hope to open students minds and prepare them for to all to academic possibilities that the future may hold for them.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceSo far, my most memorable teaching experience is taking one of my more shy and reserved students to the regional science fair. She was the only student from the school to create a science fair project, an excellent one at that. I had to leave her alone at her project for a bit while the judges made their way around to interview the students. She was so nervous but did absolutely amazing, receiving a 1st place ribbon. I was so proud of her!
What would you do with the $25,000?With $25,000 I would first replenish my classroom’s supplies. I know having a smart board of some kind would greatly change how my classroom runs and add many possibilities for increased engagement as well as fun. I would pay off some of my Masters degree loans and medical bills. I would save the rest for future classroom use.
