I became a teacher, specifically in areas where children economically grew up the same as me so I could give back and show students that you don’t have to be a product of your environment. I wanted to push students the same way my teachers pushed me to be great .
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was teaching a student in a juvenile detention center. This was the first time I learned that teaching is more than the textbook, you really have to learn your students and build relationships.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would want to expand my tutoring company and find a space students would be able to come to so I won’t always have to travel to them & pay off some of my student loans.
