I love teaching because it allows me build relationships that students may not be able to get at home. I also love the "light bulb" moments!

I became a teacher to make a positive impact on students lives. So many children grow up with "absent" parents these days and some students are just starving for attention. I feel I can fill that void. I love to have fun in life and love bringing that into my classroom as well!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience is when a student truly comprehends or grasps a concept I am teaching. I talk a lot about the "light bulb" moment and I absolutely love it when they look at me and you can just tell they get it. For example when teaching 2 x 80 equals160. I teach them if 2x8 is 16, just add the 0 to the end. You'd be amazed how many students say, "Oh, now I get it!"
What would you do with the $25,000?With the $25,000 I would take my husband and three kids on a vacation. Like most teachers, I feel like I give so much to my students and not my own children. I'd love to "disconnect" from the world and just take a vacation with them and be present for them.
