I became a teacher to help shape the lives of middle school students to create a love for fitness and lead a healthy lifestyle. I’ve always been a runner, but wanted to share my love and passion for fitness with my students. It’s not just PE, it’s a way of life. I built a classroom that revolves around being physically fit and creating a personalized fitness plan for themselves. Students take ownership of their fitness and living a healthy lifestyle.

My most memorable teaching experience happened this school year with 3 hurricanes and coaching teams for the first time at our school in 16 years. I was awarded PE teacher of the year for the state of Florida in 23/24. This year I was given the opportunity to coach again. I was able to create a stellar cross country team, that won PCAC! First place for the Boys and 2nd place for girls. Making the impossible possible while being displaced during hurricane Helene. Bringing the community together❤️

I would use the 25,000 to rebuild my fitness class that I spent the last 10 years building. We lost almost everything in our school due to Hurricane Helene. My heart and passion to build my program was washed away with the storm, but I will rebuild for my students and their families. We are mad strong 💪. They are my why❤️ Coach Prevost’s fitness class!
