Tell us why you became a teacher

Chemistry is a subject that’s difficult n and of itself. If having better experiences in high school chemistry allows the class to be easier and for more students to go into sciences as careers then I would consider my teaching career a success.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience actually came at the end of the school year last year. A student wrote me a very heartwarming note saying how much she enjoyed her class and how much she now enjoys science because of her experience in my class. That to me it was worth everything.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would pay off some bills and maybe put a deck on the back door of my house.
