I teach children with disabilities because I see their potential when others don’t. I love helping them grow and showing them love.

I became a teacher to help students with disabilities learn how to behave at school. I saw the struggle these students have and how they were treated because of their “bad” behaviors. I wanted to help them when others will push them aside.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceA student I had was placed into my classroom for his aggressive behaviors, both physical and verbal. One day he told me he was going to get kicked out of my classroom just like the other ones before. One day he started yelling at me. It lasted for about an hour. When he was done I went to him to talk. He said he needs to stop and start listening. We went around and told everyone how he took responsibility and he wasn’t going to do it again. He was so proud of himself. He didn’t misbehave again.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I had $25,000, I would pay off my student loans and put a down payment on a new car.
