I became a teacher so that I can help the future. My grandma inspired me at a young age to help others and I have immense gratitude to her for the teacher I am today. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive, and I am driven by the belief that every student, regardless of their perceived limitations, possesses untapped potential waiting to be ignited.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThe most memorable moment I have in my teaching career so far is when one student was teaching another student how to tell time on an analog clock. The look of amazement and wonder as she the other student started to understand was phenomenal!
What would you do with the $25,000?My focus would be on creating a more accessible, supportive, and enriching learning environment for my students with diverse needs. My first priority would be investing in assistive technology. This include specialized software for students with learning disabilities, such as organizational tools, sensory processing needs, weighted blankets, fidget toys, and noise-canceling headphones.
