I became a teacher to help guide the next generation of students towards their dreams and aspirations. To inspire them to be the best they can be, and encourage them to keep pushing for greatness. The conversations and insights my kids have to offer are eye opening. I love them so much. Even when they seem unloveable to others. 🩷

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

As a first year teacher, I am getting a new memorable teaching experience everyday! As of right now my most memorable teaching experience is helping 66% of my student meet/exceed their state testing goals in the winter. I also love seeing them gain confidence and a newfound love for leaning. I love my kiddos (AllStars) so much! 🥰

What would you do with the $25,000?

With the $25, 000 I plan to invest in The Black Educational Advocacy Coalition (BEAC) and Teach for America (TFA). As a TFA Corps member, I am a true believer in equity, inclusion, and education for all. I want to invest and donate in the BEAC to support all African American students and teachers just like my teachers did for my classmate and I when I was in school. I also plan to put the rest into savings and invest it in some other money making opportunities.
