Aisha Saad

I love to teach because it brings me joy to see students growing and excelling in their academics each day and making connections with them.

Tell us why you became a teacher

I have a passion for helping others, especially kids, since they are our future. I always wanted to make a large impact on others with helping them be a good citizen. I enjoy having such a positive impact on so many aspects of students’ lives. I want to be their mentor, leader, and their safe place for them to always have. Watching them make good choices and succeed in so many ways makes me happy.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I will always remember when I got a message from a parent that told me how much I had impacted their child, they grew so much academically throughout the year, and their child enjoyed coming to school. This student was very shy and quiet and by the end of the year the connections we built helped them have a voice. They were sharing ideas and answers in class discussions, it was amazing! I knew that I was a teacher for experiences like this that happen year after year.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000 I would pay some of my debt off and I would use some of it to get some things for my classroom so that my students could have some neat things to help them have more hands on experiences and make those real life connections with our lessons.
