I love the moments where I have the ability to make students feel comfortable being their TRUE selves. I love being weird with my students, singing songs with my voice changing microphone, and jumping around my room. It makes me feel like they know that school isn’t a scary or negative place!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience.I got a note from a student that read, and I quote (I have it in my wallet) “Mr. J, thank you for being there for my mother and I when we needed you most”. This note made every little thing I did to comfort this student through a difficult time SO worth it.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would put most of the money towards my student loan debt from college, and donate portions of the rest to charities that focus on helping the most underprivileged students around the country!
