Connect What is your favorite part of being an educator?

My favorite part about being an educator is watching each of my students grow into amazing young adults and celebrating their success. Not only do I support them in the classroom but I love being there them outside of school as a tutor or someone to cheer them on in a sporting or musical event.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience.

My most memorable teaching experience would have to be when I had a student who hated school and teachers. This student did not want to be in the classroom or complete his work. He did not see the point to doing so. It took some effort and patience to show this student that I cared for him and wanted to see him succeed. By the end of the year his parents saw a major improvement and a complete change in their son towards school. He was motivated and looked forward to coming to class.

What would you do with the $25,000?

$25,000 would be such a blessing. I would appreciate being able to pay off a big chunk of my student loans and not have to worry about paying them off for the next 10 years.
