What is your favorite part of being an educator?

My favorite part of being an educator is seeing students get a ‘lightbulb’ moment! I love it when they get it!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience.

One of my most memorable moments when a student sent me a message years later letting me know the impact I have had on her during a difficult time. Another memorable moment is when I taught a disabled student oratorical skills that used his assistive rehabilitative medical device. He became an alternate for our district speaking competition. Through a series of events he ended up representing the school and WON!!!!!!!!!!!!! He and I were so proud!!!!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would stock my classroom and our 6th grade math department with needed supplies, snacks, and incentives for our classrooms. I would also pay off some bills and take a relaxing trip.
