Lori Friedhoff

I just LOVE unconditionally! I have worked hard to get needed items for kids and started a non-profit youth bball program for my community.

What is your favorite part of being an educator?

The kids! All of my students would tell you that I care about them like a parent. Ive hugged them, cried with them and laughed with them. They are what drive me every day.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience.

My most memorable experience was reuniting a foster child with members of her real family after finding out by coincidence and conversation with the student that I knew her grandmother! I took emergency foster care classes to try for temporary custody until her Grandma could get her but found out that I could not house her because I had my own boys and she would not have her own room. But in the end, she is with family and loved. I still follow her on Facebook.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would pay off some debt then put the rest into my non-profit youth basketball program. My dream is to finance or get backing for a sports complex and get more kids playing sports and having fun!
