What is your favorite part of being an educator?

My favorite part of being an educator is undoubtedly my students and witnessing their success. It brings me immense joy to observe their growth over the years and to celebrate their achievements. The satisfaction of contributing to their learning journey and seeing them thrive academically and personally is truly rewarding.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience.

One particularly memorable teaching experience involved supporting a student grappling with personal and academic challenges, such as the loss of their mother and academic setbacks. Through dedicated mentorship and academic guidance, we developed a tailored plan to address both their emotional well-being and educational needs. Witnessing the student graduate and pursue a brighter future affirmed the profound impact educators can have on students facing adversity.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With the $25,000, I would prioritize enhancing educational opportunities within our school by investing in materials and resources that foster diverse learning experiences. Recognizing that not all students may pursue or afford traditional college paths, I aim to support them in obtaining valuable certifications that can open doors to various career pathways. Additionally, if feasible, I would allocate a portion of the funds to alleviate some of my personal financial obligations.
