Learn MoreWhen I integrate the "Art" in my Science class. It is fun to witness my students being able to express and represent themselves through their creations and presentations while learning the Science concept. I can observe from them the fun and sense of pride while they present their work. It is also very rewarding to see how they can collaborate or work together in spite there individual differences. There is unity in diversity.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience. One time I was back to work after a long sick leave. My substitute teacher left an activity for my students to finish. I did not plan to change it. I let my students continue their work. I was being honest with them that I could not fully support them with their work because the activity was not my cup of tea. Surprisingly, they managed to complete their work. They were behaving very well too. Sometimes, it is okay to make your students feel that you need their help and cooperation.
What would you do with the $25,000?Right now, I am studying Master of Arts in Education Administration. I would like to use some of that money for my graduate school education. I will also use half of the prize to support my scholars, the less fortunate students that I financially supported in the Philippines. I believe that success becomes more meaningful when shared.
