My favorite part about being an educator is the long lasting relationships I build with my students. They teach me just as much as I teach them and their compassion and eagerness to expand their minds is inspiring.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience.My most memorable teaching experience was during my first year of teaching Pre-K. I taught my students that our class was a family and a family supports each other. That lasted with a student of mine into his kindergarten year and when his Grandma passed he asked me to attend the funeral because he needed all of his family to support him through his loss. I was honored and truly touched to support him in those vulnerable moments.
What would you do with the $25,000?With the $25,000 I would like to give back to my school districts library by making a donation and bringing even more bilingual books to our campus. I also would like to be able to contribute to my fellow teachers classrooms and meet their needs for end of the school year and beginning of next. I would like to treat my administration somehow because without their support I would not be the teacher I am today. Lastly, I would like pay some towards my student loan debt.
