Register NowMy dad was a pastor through my childhood so I taught our toddler class in Branson, MO at age 10. I loved it so much, I knew I wanted to become a teacher. I also used to play teacher at home so knew that was my dream - to be a teacher for my career.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have a lot of good memories throughout my teaching career so it’s hard to say just one. However, when I taught second and third grade from 1988-2000, I loved teaching writing. My students became famous authors. At the end of the year, their parents wrote a story to let us hear their famous author stories. My students loved it! I’m also loving seeing former students. I have two parents at my school now who I had years ago. It brings me joy to hear how much I impacted their life and helped them.
What would you do with the $25,000?Winning $25,000 would be a highlight as a teacher. I would buy myself a new car. I have a 2012 Chevy Malibu and love it but need an SUV as I’m getting older.
