My kindergarten teacher, whom I am still in contact with today, she sparked my passion from being her student. Her warmness, passion, patience, and environment she provided. I loved to help people in any way possible and I’ve always been told of the energy I give off makes children feel safe. I became a teacher to help children build confidence in themselves as well as their knowledge for a successful future. When I see a light go on in my students eyes I feel I have succeeded.

A month before my son was born in 2019 my entire face became 100% paralyzed. I learned I had Lyme disease. I had to relearn everything from closing my eyes on my own when sleeping, food/drinks in my mouth without it spilling out the sides, pronouncing words, raising my eyebrows, and so forth. I feared for my dream job to teach. Speaking with my professor she told me this is your TESTIMONY to bring to your students. Never give up on your dreams no matter the obstacles! So here I am!

I would use it for more learning materials & equipment. I would also use it to pay off the remainder of my car to upgrade to a more efficient vehicle for the kids to go on field trips in. I also considered if I had enough money I would move my class out of my home and run my preschool in another location, my own building.
