I teach middle school science and it is easily the best and most rewarding job. Being part of their learning and lives is indescribable.

Register NowAs a conservation focused biologist I’ve always said that the best way to save our planet is to educate the youth in sciences. It’s not so much a lack of care we see but the lack of knowing. I firmly believe that anyone that’s had a chance to know nature and to learn its patterns and importance, is someone that will fight for the good of the planet.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceWatching a student defend the importance of ecological balance in an ecosystem to another student, using the facts that I taught them.
What would you do with the $25,000?I started a nature club this year at my school and really want to have finances to fund better and more enriching nature trips. I would dedicate $15,000 to finance my nature club for the next 5 years. The other $10,000 would be reserved to implement some changes to our school grounds to model conservation even in urban areas. I want to build a trail with benches and information signs about pollinators, about the native plants we highlight in our garden that we would have built by the trail.
