I became a teacher because I wanted to inspire and uplift children like myself. My goal has always been to create a positive change in the education system, fostering meaningful relationships that not only empower my students but also strengthen our community. I believe in showing my students that they can rise above any challenge and achieve greatness through the power of education. It is my passion to help them realize their potential so that they can overcome anything!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of the most heartfelt moments in my teaching journey was the opportunity to transition to middle school alongside my 5th grade students. For two incredible years, I had the privilege of teaching them, witnessing their growth, maturity, and the vast array of knowledge they acquired. Walking into middle school can feel daunting and different, but I was honored to walk that path with them. Together, we navigated the challenges and celebrated the triumphs, creating lasting memories.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With the generous support of $25,000, I envision transforming my classroom into a vibrant learning environment that fosters both comfort and engagement. I would like to provide my students with iPads, which will significantly enhance their interaction with technology and improve their learning experiences. Additionally, I believe that comfortable seating is essential for creating an inviting space where students can feel relaxed and confident, especially when tackling the challenges of math.
